چکیده
Cherry-spruce rust caused by (Fr.) Magnus is a serious cone pathogen of Norway spruce [ (L.) Karst.]. The causes great economical losses in seed orchards specialized the production high quality seeds. Germination range aeciospores from populations (spore sources) seven Finnish was tested on water agar and malt at nine temperatures varying between 6â30 °C. temperature spore germination 6 °C 27 °C, while retarded 30 peak rate all sources occurred 15â24 In model with fixed effects media, source, had most significant effect germination. Spore source less effect, media non-significant able to germinate low corresponding when thermal growing season starts 5 spring. As spores cones both canopy ground showed very similar ranges, it indicated capacity early Hot over drastically reduced rust.Thekopsora areolataPicea abiesT. areolata

Phytochrome and Seed Germination: VI. Phytochrome and Temperature Interaction in the Control of Cucumber Seed Germination.
Phytochrome control of cucumber seed germination is temperature-dependent. A prolonged exposure to radiation from broad spectrum far red sources (Pfr/P = 0.05 to 0.07) prevents germination at temperatures below 20 C. Above 20 C there is no inhibition and it appears as if there is an escape from phytochrome control. However, radiation from a monochromatic, narrow band 730 nanometer source (Pfr/P...
متن کاملSeed orchards in development.
This paper reviews the role of seed orchards as output systems for genetic improvement programs. In this paper, technological changes since the 1950s are examined, with emphasis on recent developments. The need to equate the type of seed orchard to the type of forestry practiced is recognized, as is the significance of the relationship between seed orchards and other output systems for genetica...
متن کاملEffect of Water and Temperature on Seed Germination and Emergence as a Seed Hydrothermal Time Model
The physiological process of germination depends on several environmental factors such as temperature, water potential, light, nutrients and smoke. Water and temperature are determinant factors for seed germination. Both factors can, separately or jointly, affect the germination percentage and germination rate. The effect of temperature on germination and water potential on germination canoften...

متن کاملInteractions of light and a temperature shift on seed germination.
Germination of Rumex obtusifolius L. seeds is potentiated to an observable degree in 2 minutes by a single shift in temperature from 20 to 35 C. Half-maximal potentiation requires less than 32 minutes at the higher temperature. Similar sensitivities to shifts in temperature were observed for seeds of Barbarea vulgaris, R.Br. B. verna (Mill.) Asch., and Lepidium virginicum L. A shift in temperat...
